Avishock – An effective method of bird control to deter pigeons or seagulls from landing on your property

How does Avishock work?

In the same way, electric fences manage cows, pigs, and other livestock, the bird shock track does for pest pigeons or gulls.

The bird shock track is an ideal solution to keep pest birds from perching and nesting on ledges or other structures.

If a bird lands on the track, it is shocked with a harmless amount of electricity that is just enough to scare and deter the bird from landing there.

They learn instinctively not to return to the protected area.

Avishock System / Electric Bird Deterrents

Avishock is a type of bird deterrent that uses a small electric shock to discourage birds from landing or nesting in certain areas.

The system complies with UK legislation and is approved by both the RSPB and RSPCA.

The system is made up of a series of plastic and metal strips that are connected to a low-voltage power source.

When a bird lands on the strips, it completes the circuit and receives a small electric shock.

The shock is not harmful to the bird, but it is enough to startle them and make them fly away.

The Avishock system is a humane and effective way to deter birds.

It is also very discreet, so it can be used in areas where aesthetics are important. The system is easy to install and maintain, and it is made to last for many years.

How we install the Avishock system

We install the strips in the areas where you want to deter birds from landing or nesting.
The strips can be spaced 12-18 inches apart.

Once the strips are installed, we connect them to the power source (Energiser). The system is now ready to use.

Maintenance of the Avishock system

The Avishock system is very low-maintenance. The only maintenance required is to check the power source periodically to make sure it is working properly.

The strips should also be cleaned periodically to remove dirt and debris.

Frequently Asked Questions about or bird shock track system

Avishock is an approved method of bird control. As a low visibility bird deterrent, it makes it ideal for properties where discretion is required. We recommend it be installed in conservation areas, on grade-listed buildings, restaurants, and shop signage.

It is a very flexible product that can even be installed over curved masonry or signage.

Will the shock from the track harm the birds?

No. The shock is merely designed to warn the birds away from the area. We generally find once they land on it once they do not attempt to land again.

How do you power the Avishock system?

The track is powered by an energiser that runs off a standard 240v plug socket.

Lead wires are connected to the track via the energiser which runs an electrical pulse continuously through the track.

Once we have installed the track we use a dedicated voltage metre to ensure the correct voltage is running through the system.

Do you warn others that the track is installed and running?

We do yes. For the benefit of contractors and maintenance staff, we install yellow warning signs near access points around the building. We can also install warning signs on the inside of windows.
